In the mulch making process we take pallets and grind them removing 99% of the metal from them.  By using pallets that are dry they absorb the colorant and hold the color better compared to a green wood chip.  This material is stockpiled and then ground thru a smaller screen a second time thus removing any further metal that may be left in the wood.  These chips are then run thru a Becker Underwood coloring machine applying color and conveyed to stockpiles.

Our three major colors are black, brown and red.  We also manufacture blue and gold for the color enthusiasts.  We us starburst colorants made by Colorbiotics which is the highest grade of color.  Colored mulch is a natural water based colorant which will maintain the color for a season.  The color is safe for people, animals and the environment as well as adding beauty to your landscape.
